For Eli Only

Once the clients starting point is understood and the goals established, a fully customized plan is developed to stimulate the physiological changes necessary to reach the desired level of function throughout the body. It is Dr. Ruth’s philosophy that all parts of the body work together to ensure survival, then growth and repair.

Growth and repair are not physiological priorities for the body when it’s nervous system is in sympathetic dominance; fight or flight. Our cultural life styles are primarily sympathetic driven. Our lives rooted in reality and in fantasy entertainment are predominantly violent, fear based and drama driven. Changing the inner state to one of a sense of peace, safety, contentment, and gratitude is fundamental in achieving the most dramatic results of the physical and nutritional components of a program.

Because the habits of the nervous system begin their development early in life they can be a challenge to identify. Just as anything seen or experiences often enough it is accepted by the brain as normal, familiar and therefore not brought to the conscious attention to be evaluated for its current relevance. Our closest friends and family rarely have the skills to see the underlying causes of behaviors they might find undesirable and often accept it as “just who we are”.

The cognitive aspects of the brain are taken into consideration when designing and optimizing the clients program. The decisions we make drive not only our concept of what is possible and what is real; Ultimately very decision we make in our lives. We recognize cognitive decline in others and rarely in ourselves. Unfortunately when the capacity to make good decisions is compromised sufficiently, knowing what to do to recover and having the focus to follow though are not likely to be internally available. Outside help is most beneficial if not essential.

The path to improving the physical mobility, flexibility, strength and endurance, while fundamentally straight forward, is never an off the shelf map. Because the combinations and the compensations are different for each person. While the general principles are the same the nuances of recovery are layered.

Specific attention is given to the building blocks of the tissues most affected in each person. That having been said there is some basic nutritional support that the majority of people require due to the known deficiency in the food sources readily available and most often consumed.
